Colonel Lou Ramos is the owner and President of Value Enterprise Solutions, Inc. — A Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Disadvantaged Business. Incorporated in Florida (2008), Value Enterprise Solutions, Inc., provides Information Technology Services and professional training to the Department of Defense and US government agencies.
Having served the United States Air Force for over 24 years, Colonel Ramos is a leader with over 30 years of knowledge and experience directing diverse groups with dissimilar skill sets and a variety of educational levels. He served at the squadron, group, wing, major command and joint level. Experience encompasses communications engineering, communications and computer technology operations and maintenance, program management, training, financial planning, budget execution, contract management, and resource management.
On retirement from the Air Force he has held two executive level positions with industry:Vice President, Tampa Office for TRI-COR Industries, Inc, and Executive Director, Tampa Office, ManTech Telecommunications Corporation
Colonel Ramos holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration. He is a graduate of Squadron Officer School, the Air Command and Staff College, the US Army School of the Americas, and the Air War College.
His professional memberships include: AFCEA Life Membership, AFCEA Leadership Society, Service Disabled Veteran Association, Air Force Association, Project Management Institute, National Defense Intelligence Association, and Tampa Latin Chamber of Commerce
Colonel Ramos is also the founder and President of Supporting Americas Finest, Inc; a non-profit organization. Supporting Americas Finest, Inc. was created to support our men and woman on active duty and our veterans. Hosted by the City of Tampa, “Supporting Americas Finest” has held two (2) concerts to honor our wounded soldiers and raise funds for the James A. Haley VA Hospital, Tampa, Florida.
Colonel Ramos is a native of Arecibo, Puerto Rico. He and his spouse, Miriam, also from Puerto Rico, have three children and six grandchildren.
